Lyn Leverett

Mr. Lyn Leverett, age 60, of Sandersville died on Friday, February 26, 2016, in a Macon hospital following an extended illness.

Funeral services for Mr. Leverett will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 29, 2016, in the Piney Mount United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Reverend Bob Williams and Reverend Robert Wood will officiate.

Pallbearers will be: Charles Lee, Jimmy Prince, Tony Smith, Chris Bryan, Jason Bryan, and Rich Farrin.

Mr. Leverett was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the son of the late Bobby Lynwood Leverett. He was the manager of Ace Hardware in Sandersville for twenty eight years and was the manager of Cullens Supply in Sandersville. Mr. Leverett was a member of the Piney Mount United Methodist Church.

Survivors are: his wife, Tina Leverett of Sandersville; two daughters, Kim Whiting and her husband Hank of Marietta, and Lindsay Leverett of Tennille; his mother, Catherine L. Leverett of Sandersville; a grandson, Henry Whiting; and a brother, Wayne Leverett of Sandersville.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Sunday.

The family suggests donations be made to the Piney Mount United Methodist Church Building Fund c/o Mrs. Diane Meeks P.O. Box 1061 Sandersville, GA 31082.

May and Smith Funeral Directors in Sandersville is in charge of the arrangements.
