Lynda Childre Kuecker

Lynda Sylvia Childre Kuecker passed away peacefully on the morning of December 17, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her parents, Jimmy Childre, Sr. and Sylvia Swearingen Sams; her children of St. Augustine, FL; and her brothers and sisters, Jimmy Childre, Jr. of Sandersville, Bob Childre of Tennille, Charlotte Childre of St. Augustine, FL, Erny Childre of Milledgeville, Angel Childre Averett and her husband Paul of Milledgeville, J.J. Childre and his wife Lori of Macon and Jason Childre and his wife Angie of Milledgeville. Lynda was born on November 12, 1957, spent most of her childhood in Reynolds, GA and later moved to St. Augustine, FL. She attended Georgia Southern University and was co-owner of the family retail business, Nautilus at the Beach, for over 30 years.

Lynda will most be remembered for her wonderful and energetic spirit, and for being a beautiful woman in both body and soul. Friends, family, and even her doctors admired her enduring strength and positivity as she battled her illness. Anyone who met Lynda wanted to be around her wonderful laugh and clever sense of humor, including many of her customers who quickly became close friends of hers. She was known to have a strong spiritual faith and inspired many.

Lynda asked that her death not be mourned, but that her life be celebrated. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 28th, at the Reynolds United Methodist Church. Following her memorial service, Lynda’s family will receive friends in the church social hall.
