Lyndel Ann Baugus, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend, who was also a beacon of unwavering strength passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025, surrounded by her family. She loved deeply and unconditionally, always seeing the best in others. Lyndel’s faith has inspired everyone she came in contact with, in spite of battling dementia and parkinson’s for several years. She had an infectious smile all the way to the end. Lyndel was 85 years old at the time of her passing and though her physical presence is gone her love, spirit, and our precious memories of her will live in our hearts forever.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Freddie Baugus, her sister and brother-in-law, Lucile and Harold Baugus and her parents Emory and Iris Screws.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories her children: daughters, Cindy (Tim) Truelove, Debbie (Dave) Feliciano and son, Mike Baugus; grandchildren Keith (Jennifer) Todd, and Matthew (Samantha) Todd; great-grandchildren, Rylan Todd, Destini Todd, James Todd, Ethan Roberts, Tristan Roberts, Faith Sapiro, Evan Sapiro, Sean Sapiro, and a great-great-granddaughter, Saylor Grayce Nobles due October 2025; nephew and niece, Harold Baugus, Jr. and Brenda Brown. Lyndel also leaves behind two sisters-in-law, Shirley Buttersworth and Cathy Lord who have gone above and beyond for the family.

The family would like to thank Georgia Hospice for all their kindness and compassion shown to our mama during her illness- all the great nurses, aides and staff, most recently Shannon Juarez and Tamika Jones who have shown nothing but kindness and professionalism, along with previous nurses Peggy Johnson and Anthea Poulton. We would also like to thank Carrie Clements and all the on call nurses who visited us in our times of emergencies and the wonderful weekend nurses. We would also like to thank friends who have gone above and beyond for our family Shelley (Lane) Hadden and Angela (David) Brown. We would also like to thank her sitters, Wanda Stovall, Essie Wright who also became a cherished friend, Destini Todd, and Winnie Darrisaw.
