Mrs. Margaret Wadsworth Ison, age 90, of Sandersville, died Monday, December 8, 2014 at the Heritage Inn Nursing Home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11th, at 2:00 p.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Sisters Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverends Billy King and Jimmy Harris will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jeff Brett, Joey Brett, Jason Brett, Harry Lindsey, Brett Brown and Sam Prince.
Mrs. Ison was born in Floyd County the daughter of the late Henry Grady Wadsworth and the late Annie Lou Turner Wadsworth. She was the former bookkeeper for Davis Tractor Company and in retirement worked as a greeter at Walmart. She was a member of the Riddleville Baptist Church and after becoming a resident of Heritage Inn, she assumed the title of “Queen of Bingo”.
Survivors are her daughter, Peggy I. Brett and her husband Earl of Perry; grandchildren, Jeff Brett and his wife Martha, Jason Brett and his wife Amy and Joey Brett and his wife Robbi all of Perry; great-grandchildren, Lauren Brett, Will Brett, Sunni Brett, Mary Kate Brett, Caden Brett, Connor Brett, Reese Brett and Reid Brett; her sister Joyce W. Scott and her husband Charles of Forrest Park; and her “earthy angels” Renny and Harry Lindsey of Riddleville.
Donations may be made to the Heritage Inn Patient Activities Fund, 652 Ferncrest Drive, Sandersville, GA 31082.
The family will be at the Brett Farm, 306 Brett Road, Sandersville and will receive friends on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the Funeral Home.
