Margaret Virginia Ivey

Mrs. Margaret Virginia Ivey, age 74, of Deepstep, died on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at her residence following an extended illness. A memorial service for Mrs. Ivey will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville. Reverend Roger Holley will officiate.

Mrs. Ivey was a native of Troupe County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Virginia Maude Tidwell. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Michael Hatcher, Sr. and a brother, Michael Eugene Freeman.   She was a graduate of the Georgia Baptist School of Nursing and was a registered nurse.  She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Hogansville.

Survivors are: daughter, Jerri Augustine of Deepstep; son, Jesse Hatcher of Port Richey, FL; eleven grandchildren; seven  great grandchildren; sisters, Martha Jane Freeman of Hogansville, Laura Ann Toney of Hogansville and Sandra Ruth Cole of Bedford Texas.
