Mrs. Marie Annette Hodges Hattaway, age 82, of Warthen, died on Thursday, November 11, 2021, following an extended illness. A memorial service for Mrs. Hattaway will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, November 14, in the chapel of May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville. Mr. Al Woods will officiate.
Mrs. Hattaway was a native of Washington County, the daughter of the late Lamar Hodges and the late Eve Burgamy Hodges. Mrs. Hattaway was a graduate of DeKalb College with a degree in nursing. She was a registered nurse and a loving home maker. Mrs. Hattaway was also an avid bowler. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Billy Hodges and Robert Hodges.
Survivors are her husband, Richard Thomas (Bud) Hattaway, Jr. of Warthen; sons, Richard Thomas Hattaway III and his wife Eileen of Duluth, Ronald Lamar Hattaway and his wife Angela of Conyers, and Russell Hodges Hattaway and his wife Christine of Winder; five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
