Marion Chalker Burgamy

Mrs. Marion Chalker Burgamy, age 98, of Sandersville died on Tuesday, December 22, 2015, in the Extended Care Facility in Sandersville following a brief illness.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 26, in the Pine Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery near Warthen. Reverend Ron Dixon and Reverend Don Black will officiate.

Mrs. Burgamy was a native of Warren County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Robert Sylvania Chalker and the late Lucy Washington Amerson Chalker, and the wife of the late Jesse Eddie Burgamy. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Edward Burgamy and her grandchildren, Michelle Williamson and Karen Burgamy. Mrs. Burgamy was a homemaker. She was a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church.

Survivors are: a daughter, Sandra Burgamy Williamson of Bartow; a son, Gary Burgamy, Sr. and his wife Debbie of Tennille; eleven grandchildren, Paula Williamson Chapman and her husband Tim, Jordan S. Williamson III and his wife Kelly, Brian W. Sims and his wife Shana, Gary Burgamy, Jr. and his wife Sandy, Lisa McCurdy and her husband Scott, Lynn Wright and her husband Cliff, Dawn Yalvac and her husband Yucel, Lawrence E. Burgamy, Rex Burgamy, Jessy Burgamy and his wife Agnieszka, and Robert Burgamy.
