Marjorie Morris Mccoy

Mrs. Marjorie M. McCoy, age 69 of Sandersville passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Doctor’s Hospital in Augusta, following an extended illness. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Pine Hill Methodist Church in Warthen. Reverend Don Black and Reverend Faye Burgamy will officiate.

Margie was born in Milledgeville, the daughter of the late Wilbur Franklin Morris and the late Amarintha Snow Morris. She was a very gifted and talented lady; possessing the ability to do most anything that she set her mind to, including singing, dancing, painting, crocheting and many other artistic endeavors. Margie was a true lover of animals, especially her beloved dog and cat. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Geoffrey Crawford Taylor; and her siblings, Sherrie Ann Morris Couch, Randall Edwin Morris, Lonnie Jefferson Morris, Trudi Dale Morris, and Tammy Mauricia Morris.

Margie is survived by her husband of 41 years, Randy Joe McCoy of Sandersville; daughter, April George (Drew) of Crawfordville, FL; sons, Randy Joe McCoy II, of Gainesville, James Jefferson Morris McCoy (Chassidy) of Sandersville, and Joshua Alexander McCoy (Randi Mills) of Metter; grandchildren, Hunter and Liam Beck; and sister Katherine Jackson of Gray.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service at Pine Hill Methodist Church.
