Marjorie Ann Tutt

March 23, 1929 — September 29, 2018

Mrs. Marjorie Ann Tutt, age 89, of Wrightsville passed away on September 29, 2018.  Mrs. Tutt was born on a farm north of Friend, Nebraska on March 23, 1929 to the late Orville Leland Cogswell and the late Edith Lulu Wolford Cogswell.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Leonard, her sister Carol Arlene Cogswell Pomrenke and a brother in law, Norman (Jake) Pomrenke.

Marge was a lifelong Christian who remained a member of the Congregational Church in Friend, Nebraska.  Marge spent her school years in Compton and Long Beach California as her parents supported the War efforts working in shipyards and as one of the Rosie the Riveter.

After graduation from high school in Long Beach, California, Marge moved back to Lincoln, Nebraska to go to nursing school.  It was in Lincoln that Marge met the love of her life, Leonard Charles Tutt from Alliance, Nebraska.  Leonard was just out of the Navy and attending the University of Nebraska.  Their love of dancing soon lead to romancing and they were married in Friend, Nebraska on June 27, 1948.  The new couple later moved to Alliance, Nebraska after a few years of living in Long Beach and Riverside, California. With family obligations, Marge put nursing school on hold until graduating from St. Joseph LPN nursing school in alliance in 1963.  Marge was very proud of her nursing career.  Marge inspired her two daughters and two grandchildren, Christina and Patrick to enter the nursing field as registered nurses.  Her son Ronald, who also married a registered nurse, also entered the medical field as an Optometrist and a grandson is currently in medical school in Texas.

Surviving children of Marge and Leonard are Linda Carol Tutt Garland and her husband Ronald of Sparta, Georgia, Jo Anne Tutt Cupit of Franklin Tennessee and Ronald Cogswell Tutt and his wife Kristi Lynn of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Russ Garland, Christine Garland Childree, Chase Cupit Crews, Patrick Tutt, Schuyler Tutt, Austin Tutt; great grandchildren, Cameron Childree, Hannah Childree, Paige Crews and Jay Crews.

In following Marge's wishes of cremation and a quiet private burial service, the family will inter their mother at Andrew Cemetery, Friend, Saline County Nebraska next to their father and Marge's Mom and Dad, Sister , and brother in law  at a later date.
