RIPLEY, MISSISSIPPI - Mark David Hollingsworth, age 49, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 16 from 12:00 noon until 1:00 PM at Ripley Presbyterian Church in Ripley, Mississippi. Services will follow at 1:00 PM. Mark was a graduate of Washington County High School in Sandersville, Georgia and earned a chemical engineering degree at Georgia Institute of Technology. He worked for Oil Dri in Ripley, Mississippi where he held the position of production manager. He was a member of Ripley Presbyterian Church where he also served as an Elder. Mark enjoyed fishing, hunting and training dogs. As a member of the Old Hatchie Hunting and Retrievers Club, he judged competitions and enjoyed the camaraderie of his fellow members. Mark is survived by his parents, Rabon L. and Brenda Hollingsworth; two brothers: Robert Craig Hollingsworth, Sandersville, GA; Scot Rabon Hollingsworth, Macon, Georgia; grandmother: Martha Chaffer, Athens, Alabama; aunts: Peggy Hicks Hoffman (John), Guilford, Indiana; Carolyn Hollingsworth Craft (Danny), Sanderville, Georgia; uncles: Joe Hollingsworth, Dayton, Ohio; Ben L. Hicks, Montgomery, Alabama; and a treasured nephew, Rabon Scot Hollingsworth, Macon, Georgia.
