Mr. Marshall Elliott, age 80 of Duck Roost Road, Davisboro, passed away at his residence on Monday, August 7, 2023. A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Kendall Heights Church of God in Sandersville. A burial will follow with military honors at White Oak Church Cemetery. Reverend Bobby Williford and Reverend John Pirkle will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 10, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at Kendall Heights Church of God.
Mr. Elliott was born in Powder Springs, the son of the late George Stephens Elliott and the late Burma Lee Norton Elliott. After graduation he proudly served his country for over 20 years in the Air Force and Air Force National Guard. Mr. Elliott was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. In 1994 he opened the Elliott Goat Ranch on Duck Roost Road and raised and cared for goats for the remainder of his life. He was a heavy equipment operator for Imery’s and enjoyed his work. Mr. Elliott liked to fish and hunt, and to travel and see new places. He also enjoyed motorcycle and car racing. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Elliott was a dedicated and passionate follower of Jesus Christ. He was a member of Kendall Heights Church of God.
Mr. Elliott is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Barbara Ann Bridges Elliott; children, Michael Barnes and his wife April of Warthen; Mechelle Amanda Lewis and her husband Brian, and Bennett Barnes and his wife Mary, both of Sandersville; grandchildren, Christian Williford, Connor Williford, Charlotte Barnes, Cheyenne Dutton (Bud Bracewell), Brandon Yates, Sydney Barnes, Whitney Barnes, Britney Barnes, Stormy Barnes, Bennett Barnes, Jr., Cammie Leigh Braddock, Alex Poss, and Melanie Poss; father-in-law, Lowell Bridges of Sandersville; sisters-in-law, Betty Jean Lanthrip, Geraldine Hodges, both of Sandersville, Linda Sue Batten and her husband Danny of Tennille, and Sherry Lynn Patisaul and her husband Randy of Rentz; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will be at the home of Bennett and Mary Barnes on Mayview Road, Sandersville.
