Martha Watkins Byrnes

Mrs. Martha Watkins Byrnes, age 85, of E. McCarty Street in Sandersville, died Sunday, July 27, 2014. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th at 2:00pm at the First Baptist Church of Sandersville. Reverends Lee Lacey and Gary Mimbs will officiate.

Mrs. Byrnes was born in Sandersville the daughter of the late Roy Watkins and the late Bertha Brooks Watkins. She was a homemaker and a former employee of the Tennille Drug Company. Mrs. Byrnes was a member of the First Baptist Church and was formerly active with the Church UMU. She is predeceased by her husband John Clifford Byrnes and her brother Julian Watkins.

Survivors are; her daughters, Dale Byrnes and Janet Byrnes Marshall and her husband Robert all of Sandersville, grandchildren, John Robert Marshall and David Marshall and her sister Jean Watkins of Wrightsville.

The family may be contacted at the Byrnes residence on E. McCarty Street in Sandersville and they will receive friends following the memorial service at the church.
