Martha Katherine Collins

Miss Martha Katherine Collins, age 85, of Central Drive in Oconee died Wednesday night, November 16, 2011, in the Washington County Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 19th, in the Antioch Christian Church Cemetery in Oconee with the Rev. David Fincher officiating.

Miss Collins was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late Willie V. Collins and the late Grace Lindsey Collins. She was a retired Postmistress of the Oconee Post Office where she served for over thirty two years. She was a member of the Antioch Christian Church, the National League of Postmasters and the National Association of Retired Postmasters. Survivors are a sister-in-law, Harue “Ammie” Collins of Oconee.
