Mrs. Mary June Carr Shepherd, age 86 of Sandersville passed away at her residence on Sunday, September 8, 2024. A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery, with her sons, Randy and Quint officiating.

Mrs. Shepherd was born in Macon, the daughter of the late Quinton Carr and the late Mildred Louise Moore Carr. She was a homemaker, and pastor’s wife, serving alongside her husband, Reverend Scotty Shepherd, in pastoral ministry for over 30 years. Mrs. Shepherd was a talented pianist and fulfilled this and many roles, at the various local churches that she and her husband served. She was a very caring and giving person and was always the life of the party. Mrs. Shepherd enjoyed shopping and talking with anyone who would converse with her. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Mrs. Shepherd was of the Pentecostal faith and a member of the Church of God.

Mrs. Shepherd is survived by her sons, Randy Shepherd, and Quint Shepherd and his wife Debra, all of Sandersville; grandchildren, Jonathan Shepherd and his wife April, Haley Shepherd Underwood and her husband Jay, and Hope Shepherd Head and her husband Kevin; and great grandchildren, Grant Shepherd, Gage Shepherd, Greyson Shepherd, Noelle June Underwood, Easton Head, Gentry Shepherd, and a soon to arrive baby girl.
