Mary Womble Condit

Mrs. Mary Jennifer Womble Condit, age 75, of Mills Lindsey School Road, Warthen Georgia, passed away peacefully at her home Sunday, May 10, 2026. A graveside committal service at Union Baptist Church Cemetery will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Condit was born and raised at Boynton Beach, Florida where she graduated from Sea Crest High School. She was the first female to be a member of the local Surf Club. Mary lived in Albany, New York prior to moving to Albany, Georgia where she was a homemaker raising her daughters. She was also trained as a licensed emergency medical technician and the first female in her training institution. Later, Mary worked with Albany Printing Company as a graphic artist. She was an active member of Saint Theresa Catholic Church in Albany. Mary enjoyed playing the flute at her church and with the Albany Symphonie Orchestra. In 2010, she along with her husband Fred moved to Washington County Georgia to care for family.

Mary is predeceased by her parents, Hubbley Womble and Effie Durden Womble. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Fred Condit of Warthen; children, Sara Holland Pickerle also of Warthen, Allison Kathryn Hayes and her husband Richard of Albany, John Hoyt Condit and his wife Kerry of Jacksonville, FL., Paul Fredrick Condit and his wife Maddy of Richmond Hill and Anna C. Corbett and her husband David of Marietta; grandchildren, Sara-Michaela Veronica Nead, Llyod Alexander Pickerle, Charles William Pickerle, Anna Marie Condit, Paul F. Condit Jr., William Hoyt Condit, Madelyn Condit, Avery Condit, Brynn Condit and Keelynn Corbett.
