Mary Virginia Lafreniere

Mrs. Mary Virginia Lindsey Lafreniere, age 70, of Jacksonville, FL., passed away on July 22, 2024.  A graveside memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Friday, August 9th at 11:00 a.m. at Piney Mount United Methodist Church Cemetery. Reverend Gary Griffin will officiate. Her family will greet friends at graveside.

Virginia was born and raised in Jacksonville, Fl., daughter of the late Aaron Wilmont Lindsey and the late Mary Magdalene Lee Mauldin. She graduated from Ribualt High School in Jacksonville and began her working career as a waitress. She later worked for ICI, Glidden, Sherwin Williams, and Paint Craft, which she managed until her retirement. Virginia loved collecting antiques, dancing with her husband, and caring for her beloved house plants.

Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Edward Lafreniere of Jacksonville; daughters, Sherri Star Pekks (Todd) and Patricia Gail Ayers; four grandchildren and five sisters; Carol Odum, Margaret McDonald, Orine Lindsey, Venice Lindsey, Cheryl Ann Lindsey.
