Mrs. Mary Brantley Nobles, age 87, of Tennille died on Thursday morning, December 29, 2016, in the Extended Care Facility following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, January 1, 2017, at Mt. Gilead Primitive Baptist Church with burial in Mt. Gilead Church Cemetery. Elder Kenneth Brantley will officiate. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons.
Mrs. Nobles was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late Julius Leon Brantley and the late Velma Bridges Brantley. She was the wife of the late Horace Robinson Nobles. Mrs. Nobles was a retired beautician. She was a member of the Mt. Gilead Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors are her children: Joel Leon Nobles and his wife Cecilia of Warthen, Glenda Nobles McAfee and her husband John of Tennille and Susan Nobles Wilcher and her husband Paul of Sandersville; eight grandchildren, Ashlyn Williamson and her husband Lee, Jeremy Nobles and his wife Beth, Brant Daniel, John McAfee, Jr. and his wife Ella, Kelly D. Wright and her husband Bob, David Nobles and his wife Erin, Matthew Daniel and his wife Donna, and Alex McAfee and his wife Molly; and fifteen great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Mt. Gilead Primitive Church from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Sunday.
The family request donations be made to the Mt. Gilead Primitive Baptist Church, 154 Mt. Gilead Road, Tennille, Georgia 31089.
