Mary Bessie Osborne Norris

Mrs. Mary Bessie Osborne Norris, age 83, of 11380 Highway 88 East in Davisboro died Thursday February 24, 2011 in the Jefferson County Hospital in Louisville. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, February 27, 2011, in the White Oak Methodist Church with burial in the Downs Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Dewey Henderson will officiate and the pallbearers will be Tommy Redfern, Joe Swafford, Tim Adams, Jimmy Norris, Eddie Norris and Chris Pirrman.

Mrs. Norris was a native of Glascock County, Georgia, the daughter of the late William Osborne and the late Mary Lou Raley Osborne. She was the wife of the late Cecil Calvin Norris. Mrs. Norris was a homemaker and a member of the Downs Baptist Church.

Survivors are a daughter, Rosemary Norris Rhodes of Augusta, four sons, Cecil Calvin Norris of Flowery Branch, Donald Norris, Ronald Lee Norris and Richard R. Norris all of Davisboro, fourteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Saturday.
