Mary Young Price

Mary Young Price , age 102, left her earthly life on February 25, 2021 in Dahlonega, Georgia.  She was a resident of Chelsey Park Health and Rehabilitation .

​ Mary was the daughter of Georg e and Vian n a Young . She was born on December 23, 1918 in Washington County, Georgia.  She was a faithful member of Mt. Gilead Primitive Baptist Church in Washington County for 80 years.  She dearly loved her church and her church family.

​ During her active years, she enjoyed her Garden and Sewing Clubs and years of volunteer activities. She was an extraordinary cook and homemaker.  Her family loved spending time with her and enjoyed her “Family Favorite
Dishes.”

​ Mary was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Roy Herman Price, Sr. on March 31, 1999.

​ Survivors include her son, Roy Herman Price, Jr ., ( wife Patricia Jeanett e Price) and her daughter, Janet Price Holbrook.  Also , her grandchildren : Carey Price, ( husband Whit Adams ) , Jim Price, ( wife Julie Price ) , Mark Price, Karin Ralph, ( husband Alan Ralph ) , Amy Danzig, ( husband David Danzi g) , Todd Holbrook, ( wife Katy Holbrook ) , Great Grandchildren : Taylor Hardin, ( husband Ethan Hardin, ) Skylar Rae Perkins, Olivia Susan Price, Sumner Alan Price , Ryan Burke , Jesse Ralph, Zachary Danzig, Lauren Holbrook, Colin Holbrook, Great, Great, Grandchildren : Augustine Hardin, Rowan Hardin and Lachlan Hardin.

​ The s ervice will be held on March 6, 2021 with visitation at 12:00 and service at 1:00 PM, at Mt Gilead Primitive Baptist Church, 154 Mt. Gilead Rd., Tennille, Georgia 31089. All are welcome.  Please respect Mt. Gilead’s COVI D protocols for social distancing and please maintain face mask as there will be those , who are vulnerable, in attendance.

​ In lieu of flowers, the family request s a donation to the Mt . Gilead building fund.

​ May and Smith Funeral Directors in Sandersville, Georgia is in charge of the arrangements.
