Mary Ann Sweat Giles

Ms. Mary Ann Giles, age 63, of Tennille died Saturday, August 20, 2011 following an extended illness. Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday, August 22nd at 2:00pm in the Zeta Cemetery in Tennille. Rev. Tim Powell will officiate.

Ms. Giles was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County. She was a homemaker and beautician working at Lonnell’s Beauty shop. Ms. Giles is predeceased by her husband John H. Giles Sr., her father Calvin C. Sweat Sr. and her brother Calvin C. Sweat Jr.

Survivors are her sons, John H Giles Jr. (Kelly) of Chattanooga TN., and James A. Giles (Joanna) of Marietta, grandchildren, Wesley Giles, Selah Giles and Jacob Giles, her mother Ella Mae Martin Sweat of Tennille, her sister Kathie Sweat McDonald (Dewayne) of Warthen, and brothers, Willie E. Sweat (Kim) of Milledgeville and Alan B. Sweat (Jodie) of Jasper.

The family will be at the Sweat residence 315 Zeta Street in Tennille and will receive friends there following the graveside service.
