Mary Yates Brantley

Mrs. Mary Yates Brantley, age 101, died on Tuesday morning, October 20, 2015, in the Oconee Health and Rehab.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, October 22, in the May & Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville with burial in the Rutherford Cemetery. Reverend Emory Anderson will officiate.

Mrs. Brantley was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late Albert Yates and the late Julia Thresta Wood Yates and the last survivor of twelve children. She was the wife of the late Willie Green Brantley. She was preceded in death by her children, Ruby Kitchens, Evelyn Elton and Dean Brantley. Mrs. Brantley was a homemaker and a member of the Oconee Church of God.

Survivors are: two sons, Ray Brantley and his wife Ruby of Davisboro, and Glynn Brantley and his wife Cindy of Oconee; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 17 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Thursday.
