Michele Fulghum Cowart

Michele Fulghum Cowart, age 51, of Harrison, died Thursday, October 13, 2016, at her residence. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October, 17th at 2:00 p.m. at White Oak Methodist Church with burial in the Church Cemetery. Reverend Dewey Henderson and Reverend Andy Carter will officiate.

Pallbearers will be John Chandler, Jason Lindsey, Tommy Cowart, Dylan Tyson, Burt Clifton and Derick Durden.

Michele was born in Washington County, the daughter of the late Roger Leonard Fulghum and the late Elaine Brantley Fulghum. She was a 1983 graduate of Washington County High School. She formerly worked for the Washington County Tax Assessors office and prior to that she served as a 911 dispatcher. Michele was a member of the Harrison Baptist Church. She loved to hunt and fish. Some of her greatest joy came from her grandchildren.

Survivors include; her husband, Terry Cowart of Harrison; son, Allen Story of Gainesville; daughters, Nicole Ellis of Harrison and Heather Cowart of Wrightsville; grandchildren, Olin Ellis, Mason Ellis, Jammea Morris, and Bria Cowart; aunt, Laretta B. Warren of Harrison and other beloved family, Hazel L. Jackson and Shirl Lindsey.

The family will be at the Cowart residence on Cedar Creek Road. They will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
