Mrs. Mildred Hammock Brantley, age 94, of Sandersville died Friday, November 12, 2010, in the Extended Care Facility. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, November 14, in the Mt. Gilead Primitive Baptist Church near Tennille. Elder Kenneth Brantley will officiate with burial in the Harrison Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Warren Brantley, Wallace Brantley, William Brantley, Brian Brantley, Willard Thomas and Stephen Brantley.
Mrs. Brantley was a native of Washington County, the daughter of the late Henry Arthur Hammock and the late Camilla Smith Hammock. She was the wife of the late Buford Hyman Brantley and was preceded in death by a son, Henry Stephen Brantley. Mrs. Brantley was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Gilead Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors are a son, William Hyman Brantley of Harrison, a sister, Evelyn H. Paul of Sandersville, and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 5:00PM until 7:00PM on Saturday.
