Mildred L. Johnson

Mrs. Mildred L. Johnson, age 88, of Augusta, formerly of Sparta, died Tuesday September 28, 2010 in Augusta. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 1, in the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery near Sparta. The Rev. Roy Smith will officiate.

Mrs. Johnson was a native of Hancock County, the daughter of the late Ed Frazier and the late Marie Hooks Frazier. She was the wife of the late Curby J. Johnson. Mrs. Johnson was a retired seamstress and a homemaker. She was a member of the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church.

Survivors are a daughter, Betty J. McClellan and her husband Bill of Augusta, a son, Gene Johnson of Sparta, a sister, Carolyn Smithson of Augusta.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 5:00 until 6:30 P.M. on Thursday.
