Mrs. Myrna Gilmore, age 71, of 761 Laurel Drive, Sandersville, died Saturday morning, September 5, 2009 in Washington County Regional Medical Center, Extended Care facility. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon Friday September 25 in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville with burial in the Warthen Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service.
Mrs. Gilmore was a native of Rockdale County, Georgia the daughter of the late John Franklin Camp and Mildred Worthy Camp. She was predeceased by her first husband, Henry Alexander Ware and second husband, Dr. Thomas W. Gilmore. Mrs. Gilmore was retired from the Dept of Transportation where she was secretary of the Maintenance
Department. She attended the Grace Episcopal Church and she was a homemaker.
Survivors include her children; Walter Allen Ware of Phoenix, Arizona, Keith Alexander Ware of Madison, and Lori Ware Adrien of Macon, five grandchildren,
Daniel Adrien, Eli Adrien, Alex Ware, Colin Ware, and Evan Ware, two brothers,
Roger Camp of Conyers and Jack Camp of Covington, two sisters, Faye C. Miller of
Conyers and Lynn Alexander of Wilmington, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests you make donations to the WACO Alzheimer's Family Support Group, P.O. Box 188, Tennille, Georgia 31089 OR to the Warthen Family Cemetery Fund, c/o George D. Warthen Bank, P.O. Box 637, Sandersville, Georgia 31082.
