Nadine Howington Thacker

Mrs. Nadine Howington Thacker, age 71, of Covington, died Wednesday, March 16, 2016. A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 19th at 4:00 p.m. in the Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville. Reverend Terry Little will officiate.

Mrs. Thacker was born in Sandersville the daughter of the late James L. Howington and the late Estelle Hooks Howington. She was a graduate of Washington County High School. Nadine was a longtime resident of Covington and she was a homemaker.

Survivors are: her husband, Forrest A. Thacker; her son Ashley Thacker and his wife Clara all of Covington; grandchildren, Bobby Thacker of Columbus, and Caren Thacker of Covington; four great grandchildren; her brother, Don Howington of Atlanta; and her sister, Dorothy H. Garner of Milledgeville.

The family will receive friends on Friday, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville.
