Nancy Forehand Garbutt

Ms. Nancy Forehand Garbutt, age 61, of 3650 Linton Road in Sandersville died Saturday, September 12, 2009 following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 15 in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville. The Rev. Lamar Brantley and Andy Carter will officiate. Pallbearers will be Charles Tarbutton, Benji Tarbutton, Danny Batten, Roger Bullard, Jimmy Hall, Mark Harvey, William Moates and Mike Thompson.
Ms. Garbutt was a native and life long resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late Charles William (Bud) Forehand and the late Gladys Wade Forehand. She was the manager of the Kaolin Plaza and a member of Antioch Christian Church in Oconee.
Survivors include her husband, George Rawlings Garbutt, Sr., her children, Renee Garbutt (John) Hollie of Sandersville, George Rawlings (Misty) Garbutt, Jr. of Alston and Rose Garbutt (Jeremy) Brett of Sandersville, three sisters, Lynn Forehand (David)Brantley of Hephzibah, Janis Forehand (Wade) Brantley of Oconee, Johnnie Forehand Price of Warren, Ohio, a brother, Clinton William (Judy) Forehand of Sandersville, six grandchildren, Lauren Hollie, Clay Brett, Kirsten Hollie, Carter Willis, Maison Garbutt and Justin Brett and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family suggests that donations be made to Antioch Christian Church, in care of Louise Stewart, 140 S Brown St, Tennille, Ga, 31089.
The family will be at the Garbutt residence on Linton Road and will receive friend Monday from 5 to 7pm at the May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville.
