Ned Wyatt Clarke, age 88, of Joppa, Maryland, passed away on August 15, 2024.A graveside service will be held at Camak Cemetery on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 10:30 a.m.

Ned was born in Byron, Georgia, on June 8, 1936, the son of the late John Clarke and the late Bernice Wyatt Clarke. He graduated from Sparta High school and continued on to receive a bachelor’s degree from Mercer University. Ned was married to Nancy Wiliams, on June 8, 1963; they were married 55 years.

Ned was the Director of Environmental Health for Henry County from 1966 - 1998. He enjoyed electronics, gardening, fishing, and computer programming. He was known for grinding the finest corn meal at Hamburg Mill such that people specifically asked for him to grind their corn. He served in the Georgia National Guard from 1961 - 1966. Above all else he devoted himself to his wife, Nancy.

Ned is survived by his sons, Wyatt & Daniel, their spouses, five grandchildren and two of his sisters, Kay Clarke and Mary Ann Dunnaway

Ned is preceded in death by his wife Nancy and 4 siblings.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Oak Grove Baptist Church Benevolence Fund (Oak Grove Baptist Church 2106 Churchville Rd, Bel Air, MD, 21015).
