Nell Moye Roughton

Mrs. Nell Moye Roughton, age 86, of Sandersville, died Sunday, September 19, 2010 at the Washington County Extended Care Facility following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, at 11:00am at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Brownwood Cemetery. Rev. Burt Parker will officiate. Pallbearers will be Lee Avant, Carol Garner, Bob Wilson, Byron Carter, Burt Moye and Lamar Henson.

Mrs. Roughton was born in Washington County the daughter of the late Delma David Moye and the late Annie Nora Tanner Moye. She was a former Licensed Practical Nurse and a homemaker. Mrs. Roughton was predeceased by her husband Hubert Lee Roughton. She was a member of the Sisters Baptist Church and the Silent Seekers Sunday School Class.

Mrs. Roughton is survived by her son H. Keith Roughton of Statesboro,

The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Wednesday.
