Neva Odell Phelps

Mrs. Neva Odell Phelps, age 95, of Sandersville, formerly of Avery Texas, died on Tuesday morning November 13, 2018 at Heritage Inn, following an extended illness.

A visitation for Mrs. Phelps will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14, at May and Smith Funeral Home with a service at 6:00 p.m. Mr. Cliff Hancock will facilitate the service.  Interment for Mrs. Phelps will be held in Avery Texas.

Mrs. Phelps was a native of Avery Texas, the daughter of the late Frank Bellotte, and the late Ocie Chapman Bellotte.  She was the wife of the late Damon Odell Phelps, and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Joe Evelyn Phelps Hawkins. Mrs. Phelps was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith.

Survivors are: a son, Johnny Frank Phelps and his wife Annie of Plano, Texas; a daughter, Sharon Phelps Smith and her husband Wallace of Sandersville; six grandchildren, Chance Clinton Hancock , Charles Clifton Hancock, Carol Roudebush, Steven Phelps, Shirley Polomine and Sally Koth; and  twelve great grandchildren.

May and Smith Funeral Directors in Sandersville is in charge of the local arrangements.
