Nolie Frances Pounds Brown Cook

Mrs. Nolie Frances Pounds Cook, age 91, of Sandersville died Wednesday evening in the Heritage Inn. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday February 28 in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville. The Rev. Lamar Brantley and Rev. Jimmy Harris will officiate with burial in the Zeta Cemetery in Tennille.

Pallbearers will be Joe Kitchens, Jr., Stacy Kitchens, Jim Kitchens, James Brown, Grady Sanders and David Sanders.

Mrs. Cook was a native of Washington County, the daughter of the late Jesse Burk Pounds and the late Emma Miller Pounds. She was a former cook and waitress and a homemaker. She was the wife of the late John H. Cook. She was a member of the Tennille Christian Church. She was predeceased by her children, Evelyn Brown Kitchens, Emaline Brown and Joann Brown.

Survivors are two sons, B. L. Brown (Sue) of Sandersville and Ricky Brown (Cybil) of Tennille, two sisters, Lucy Sanders of Tennille and Mildred P. Moore (Jerry) of Martinez, two brothers, O.T. Pounds (Sheila) and Roy Pounds (Runette) both of Milledgeville, son in law, Joe Kitchens of Tennille, ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Friday evening.
