Nonie Corbett Veal

Mrs. Nonie Rebecca Corbett Veal, age 61, of Harrison Street in Sandersville, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012, following an extended illness. A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, August 3rd at 11:00am at the Brownwood Cemetery with Rev. Marlon Lastinger and Rev. Scott Watkins officiating.

Nonie was born in Washington County the daughter of the late Edwin R. Corbett and the late Doris Wood Corbett Beck. She was retired as a Licensed Practical Nurse and she was a homemaker. Nonie enjoyed cooking, reading and was an avid worker in Genealogy. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sandersville.

Survivors are: her husband, Thomas E. Veal, Jr. of Sandersville; her children, Thomas E. (Pattie) Veal III, of Sandersville and Andrea “Cissy” Veal (Burt) Duncan of Lake City FL; grandchildren, Daulton Thomas Veal, Rebecca Elaine Duncan, Corbett Wylie Duncan and Lora Grace Duncan and her sister Cathy C. (Phillip) Hulsey of Cumming.

The family will receive friends at graveside following the service and they will be at the home of Sandy and Mary Kay Veal, 108 Richmond Street, in Sandersville.
