Odum Ray Guy

Mr. Ray Guy, age 66, of Harrison, died Friday, November 27, 2015. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 1st at 11:00 a.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Bobby Williford will officiate. A graveside committal service will be held also on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Little Briar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Warren County. Pallbearers will be Patrick Brown, Robbie Morris, William Jackson, Ed Long, Ron May and Chris Harrelson.

Mr. Guy was born in Washington County the son of the late Dewey D. Guy and the late Lucy Benson Guy. Ray retired from Lapp Insulator as an inspector after 35 years of service. He was an avid horseback rider and for years enjoyed being a local Santa Clause. He attended the Kendall Heights Church of God.

Survivors are; his wife Violet A. Guy of Harrison; his daughter Lucy Guy Harrelson and her husband Daniel of Dublin; and grandchildren, Ava Grace Harrelson and Georgia Rae Harrelson.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville.
