Mr. Ollan Brantley, Jr., age 72, of Sandersville died on Monday, September 11, 2017 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 15 in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville with burial in Zeta Cemetery in Tennille. Reverend Buford Tanner and Reverend Bobby Williford will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Alan Wiggins, Brian Wiggins, Chase Howell, Darrell Wilson, Gene Renfroe, James Wilson, Jimmy Chambers, Shane Lord, and Tommy Redfern.
Mr. Brantley was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the son of the late Ollan Brantley, Sr. and the late Lois Yates Brantley. He was a retired lineman with the Washington Electric Membership Corporation with over 40 years of service. Mr. Brantley was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.
Survivors are his wife, Frances Brantley of Sandersville; daughter, Tammy Brantley Corbin and her husband Tom of Sandersville; grandchildren, Philip Lee Wright and his wife Lisa of Leeds, England and Katie Nicole Corbin of Sandersville; great grandchildren, Melody Wright, James Wright, Kara Wright and Lilith Wright; sister, Annie Mae Taylor of Sandersville; and brother, Larry Brantley of Ludowici.
The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Thursday.
