Pat Garner

Ms. Pat Garner, age 70, of Sandersville, died Friday, January 31, 2020 at Washington County Regional Medical Center.   A memorial service celebrating Pat’s life will be held on Tuesday, February 4 ^th at 2:00 p.m. in May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel.  Reverend Danny Thomas and Reverend Mike Smith will officiate.   The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Ms. Garner was born in Atlanta, the daughter of the late Harold R. Garner Sr. and the late Grace Akridge Garner.  She was reared in Washington County where she graduated high school and attended First Church of the Nazarene.  She was a homemaker and loved baking cakes for family, friends and the public.  Pat was an avid sports fan following the Atlanta Braves, the Georgia Bulldogs and the New Orleans Saints.

Survivors include her children, Thomas Etheridge of Shenandoah, VA., Gary Etheridge of Unadilla, and Cindy Salter and her husband Van of Mableton; grandchildren, Noah Etheridge, Allyssa Etheridge, Jaimie Etheridge, Austin Etheridge, Michael Etheridge, Christopher Etheridge, Sydney Salter and Abigail Salter; great granddaughter ,Delylah; a long time special friends, Sidney Etheridge and Nancy Golden; and siblings, Sarah Anderson and Rayburn of Harrison, Nancy Bryant and Ronnie Garner and his wife Karol all of Sandersville, Rob Garner and his wife Carolyn of Athens, Wes Garner and his wife Kelly of Napels, FL., and Raymond Garner of E. Dublin.
