Patricia Sanders Thompson, age 68, of Tennille, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Washington County Regional Medical Center. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, February 10th at 10:00 a.m. at Sandersville Community Church. Her family may be contacted at the residence of Jamie and Jill Thompson at 8405 Harrison-Davisboro Road, Davisboro.
Patsy was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late Jimmy Lee Sanders Sr. and the late Martha Jackson Sanders. She graduated from Washington County High School and married her late husband Larry Wade Thompson in 1974. She worked as a seamstress from both Royal Manufacturing and Carters. For much of her life, Patsy was a homemaker and would often assist people in their tax preparation. She loved to go fishing and care for her furry cats. Holidays were always special to Patsy, especially Christmas. She cherished being with and cooking for her children and grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Patsy is also predeceased by a son, Kevin Thompson, stepson, Wade Thompson and her brother, Jimmy Lee Sanders Jr.
Survivors include her children, James Michael "Jamie" Thompson and his wife Jill of Riddleville, Tabitha Bass and her husband Raphael of Bartow and Eric Thompson and his wife Christy of Tennille; grandchildren, Austin Kent, Maci Thompson, Nathan Biggins, Cole Biggins, Mariah Biggins, Carli Thompson, Hope Thompson, and Hayleigh Thompson; great grandchildren, Lyric Girvin, Karson Girvin, Rylee Phillips; and Waylon Phillips; siblings, Russell Sanders, Sherry Peavy and Karen Thurman; and a special nephew Rusty Sanders.
