Mrs. Patsy Jackson Humphrey, age 67, of Riddleville, died Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at her residence following an extended illness. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 17th at 2:00 p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church in Riddleville with burial in Davisboro City Cemetery. Reverends, Marty Deal, Bobby Williford and Danny Thomas will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Greg Frazier, Mike Beckworth, John Dalton, Danny Thomas, Joe Walker, Josh Jackson, Ben Davis, and Jake Scott.
Patsy was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late Joseph Eldro Jackson and the late Mary Juanita Hooks Jackson. She was a homemaker and a cosmetologist. Patsy formerly worked for the House of Renee prior to working for herself. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church where she was active with the W.M.U. and served as the Church Sunday School Secretary. Patsy was a member and former president of the local chapter of the Woodmen of the World. She was a lover of the outdoors and had a passion for flowers. Her husband Tommy Humphrey predeceases her.
Survivors are; her daughter, Olivia Humphrey; siblings, Randy Jackson and his wife Debbie and Cindy Frost and her husband Bill all of Riddleville; nieces and nephews, Tara Jackson, Josh Jackson, Christy Walker and her husband Joe, Holley Davis and her husband Ben, and Hanna Scott and her husband Jake; great nieces and nephews, Benjamin Davis, Tabitha Davis, Carsyn Davis and Jack Scott.
The family will be at the Humphrey residence on New Bethel Road and they will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville.
