Mrs. Pauline Ruth Kevern, age 85, of 615 Tucker Road in Deepstep died Monday morning, November 14, 2011 at her residence. Funeral services will be held in the Good Shepherd Church of the Nazarene in Tennille at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 17th, with burial in the Washington County Memorial Gardens. Rev. Lamar Brantley and Rev. Larry Giles will officiate. Pallbearers will be Christopher Kevern, Brandon Eubanks, Hunter Whitney, Wayne Poole, Steve Nelson, Shawn Smith and Joey Shurling.
Mrs. Kevern was a native of Portland, Michigan, the daughter of the late Lewis Lambert Schlarf and the late Clara Jane Taft Schlarf. She was the wife of the late George Lambert Kevern. Mrs. Kevern was a homemaker and a retired industrial engineer for the Martin Company. She was a member of the Good Shepherd Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors are her sons Stanley Louis Jodlowski and Dennis Alan Jodlowski both of Orlando and Raymond Lee Jodlowski of Key Largo, three stepchildren, Marc Kevern of Deepstep, Rick Kevern of Jacksonville and Karlene Kevern of Oklahoma and ten grandchildren.
The family suggests that donations be made to the Good Shepherd Church of the Nazarene, P. O. Box 831, Sandersville, Georgia 31082. The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday.
