Peggy Lee Gardner

Ms. Peggy Lee Gardner, age 78, of Sandersville passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at Washington County Regional Medical Center after an extended illness.

Mrs. Gardner was born in Port Huron, Michigan, the daughter of the late Leonard and Erma Gardner. She spent most of her life as a mother and homemaker but also had a career in the auto assembly field, retiring from Sports Rack. In her spare time Ms. Gardner enjoyed sewing and knitting and served as a Girl Scout leader when her daughters were younger. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Jodi Lynn Wilson.

Mrs. Gardner is survived by her daughters, Julie Dey (Mark) of Crosby, Texas and Jill Dyer (Ed of Sandersville; son, John Hallay of Sandersville; son in law, Nate Wilson of Almont, Michigan; grandchildren, Ashley Dyer, Cheyenne Bailey, Amber Dey, Joey Day, and Nick Dey; great grandson, Wyatt Bailey; and sisters, Lynn White (Ken) of Traverse City, Michigan, Ruth Walsh (Bill) of Ruby, Michigan, and Bonnie Gross of Port Huron Township, Michigan.
