Phillip Lewis Kitchens

Mr. Phillip Lewis Kitchens, age 59, of McDaniel Drive, Sandersville, died Sunday, September 15, 2013. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 18th at 3:00pm at the Antioch Christian Church with burial in the Bay Springs Cemetery all in Oconee. Rev. David Fincher, Rev. Johnny Anderson and Rev. Bill Moody will officiate. Pallbearers will be Levi Lape, Jason Vickery, Michael Hargrove, Justin Strickland, Eric Smith, William Horton, Chris Lewis and Vinnie Robinson.

Phillip was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County the son of the late R. Hilton Kitchens and the late Lizzie Mae Johnson Kitchens. Phillip spent his working career in the Kaolin Industry and currently worked as a laboratory technician for B.A.S.F.

Survivors are his wife Margie Eubanks Kitchens of Sandersville; his children, Phillip Joseph Kitchens and his wife Macy of Davisboro, and Shannon K. Norwood and her husband Jimmy Lee of Tennille; grandchildren, Gavin Kitchens and Madelyn Kitchens; brothers, Dwain Kitchens of Sandersville, Stanley Kitchens and his wife Mary of Dallas and Gerald Kitchens and his wife Debra of Villa Rica; and sisters Jeanette Kitchens of Sandersville, Shelby Kitchens of Milledgeville, Deborah K. Johnson of Tennille and Melba Courbat of Sandersville.

The family will be at the home of Shannon and Jimmy Norwood, 1387 Harts Ford Road, Tennille and they will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home.
