Phoebe Brooker Kennedy

Phoebe Jane Brooker Kennedy, age 51, of South Smith Street in Sandersville, died Tuesday, June 24, 2014. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June the 27th, at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Sandersville with burial in the Brownwood Cemetery. Reverend Shelia Hunter and Reverend Lee Lacey will officiate. Pallbearers will be John Brooker, Jr., Michael Brooker, William Ledford, Bo Brooker, Jack Brooker, Caleb Brooker, Bill Holland and Mike Holland.

Phoebe was a native and lifelong resident of Sandersville, the daughter of the late John Wesley “Jack” Brooker and the late Jane May Brooker. She was the owner and operator of Phoebe Jane’s Restaurant and Catering, formerly Phoebe’s at The Pink House. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Sandersville and often attended the First Christian Church of Sandersville. Phoebe was a 1981 graduate of Brentwood School. She will be remembered for her fun personality and friendliness to the public and her caring spirit to others, especially those in need.

Survivors are, her husband Brad Kennedy; sons, Christian Brooker Kennedy and McLaurin Wesley “Macky” Kennedy both of Sandersville and John Michael Kennedy and his wife Megan of Milledgeville; grandchildren, Jackson Kennedy and Nathan Kennedy and; brothers, John M. Brooker, Sr. and his wife Luanne, and David H. Brooker and his wife Anne all of Sandersville; nephews, John M. Brooker, Jr. and his wife Leigh Anne, Michael W. Brooker and his wife Julie, Caleb H. Brooker, Bo Brooker, Jack Brooker, Cannon Brooker and Wesley Brooker; and nieces Katie and Charley Brooker.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the home of David and Anne Brooker, 255 North Harris Street in Sandersville.
