Quinell Towns Mcgill

Ms. Quinell Towns McGill, age 78 of Tennille, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday morning, November 16, 2023. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jim Rhodes officiating.

Ms. McGill was born in Towns Community, the daughter of the late Milliard Towns and the late Lessie Johnson Towns. She was an accounting clerk by trade, working for Walmart for 26 years until her retirement. Ms. McGill was a caring person and a loving mother and “Nana.” She liked to fish and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and surveys. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Milliard Wendall Towns.

Ms. McGill is survived by her sons, Kevin McGill and his wife Amy Jo of Tennille, and Jeffrey McGill and his wife Jill of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Kyle McGill of Tennille, Christian McGill and his significant other, James of Valdosta, Shea McGill and Ryan McGill, both of Warner Robins; sister Kathryn Runyon of Cedartown; Sister-in-laws, Cathy Towns of McRae and Melba Cooper and her husband Olin “Doc” of Vidalia; niece, Angela Clark and her husband Gary, nephews, Benjie Towns and his wife Jenna, Tim Towns and his wife Hannah, and Wesley Cooper and his wife Peggy; and many other family and friends.
