Ralph E Jackson

Mr. Ralph E. Jackson, age 76, of West First Avenue in Sandersville passed away on Thursday, December 19th at his residence following an extended illness. A private graveside service will be held to celebrate his life.

Mr. Jackson was born in Sandersville, the son of the late Carl. H. Jackson and the late Frances Foreman Jackson. A lifelong resident of Washington County, Mr. Jackson graduated from Washington County High School and North Georgia Technical College.  Mr. Jackson grew up in a farming family in Riddleville and retired from Thiele Kaolin Company after 25 years.  Mr. Jackson was an avid gardener and loved surprising special friends with homemade treats he baked. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his sister, Elouise J. Bowman.

Mr. Jackson is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Rachel Vallin Jackson; children, J.J. Jackson of Athens and Jill Jackson of Sandersville; brother, Carl Lamar Jackson and his wife Janet of Riddleville; and many nieces and nephews. He leaves behind his best friend and cousin, Henry P. Jackson and his wife Joy.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in Mr. Jackson’s memory to Grace Episcopal Church, 114 East 2nd Avenue, Sandersville, Ga 31082.
