Mr. Randy Roy Kirkland, age 61 of Tennille, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at his residence following an extended illness. The family will celebrate his life with a memorial service on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Good Shepherd Church of the Nazarene in Tennille. Reverend Lamar Brantley and Reverend Tony Mimbs will officiate.
Mr. Kirkland was born in Orlando, Florida, the son of the late Roy L. Kirkland and the late Betty Batts Gold. He was the owner of Kirkland’s Quality Paint and Pressure Washing. Mr. Kirkland enjoyed being outdoors and feeding his hummingbirds. Growing up in Apopka, Florida, he loved to visit Rock Springs, and even as an adult he would always make every possible effort to visit when he was in the state. Mr. Kirkland was a fan of the University of Florida Gators and of NASCAR, especially Rusty Wallace. In his free time, he liked to watch classic television shows, especially Andy Griffith, Gunsmoke, and Bonanza. Mr. Kirkland was a wonderful father and a true friend. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Kirkland is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Tracey Page Kirkland; children, Jessica Whitehead (Robert) of Charolette, NC, Courtney Kirkland of Sandersville, Trystan Kirkland of Tennille, and Ken Jones of Sandersville; sisters, Sandra Graham (Donald) of Rentz and Lisa Kelly (David) of Sandersville; brother, Wally Gold (Karlie) of Tennille; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Kirkland Family Support Fund.
