Randy Peavy

Mr. Randy Peavy, age 69 of Meadows Drive in Sandersville passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at his residence. A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Union Baptist Church in Warthen with burial following in the church cemetery. Reverend Bobby Jackson will officiate, and pallbearers will be Fred Peavy, Chris Peavy, Rusty Sanders, Ralph Todd, Cecil Davis, and Eric Thompson. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.

Mr. Peavy was born in Sandersville, the son of the late Luke Peavy and Lynette Glover Peavy. He was a lifelong resident of Washington County and a graduate of Brentwood School. Mr. Peavy worked as a foreman in the lab of Georgia Kaolin until his retirement due to health issues. After retirement he spent time helping at Waco Med. Mr. Peavy enjoyed hunting and fishing and dancing with his loving wife. He was a good and generous man who found much joy in helping others. He was a member of Union Baptist Church.

Mr. Peavy is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Sherry Sanders Peavy; brother, Ronnie Peavy and his wife Arlene of Warthen; many nieces and nephews, several sisters and brothers in law; and many other friends and family.
