Ray N. Lawrence, Sr.

Mr. Ray Newman Lawrence Sr., age 86, of Sandersville, died Sunday, September 10, 2017. A graveside memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 13 ^th at 2:00 p.m. at Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville with Reverend Wade Dawson officiating.

Mr. Lawrence was a native of Washington County, the son of the late Steve P. Lawrence and the late Minnie Mae Merrett Lawrence. He was an educator retiring from the Sumter County Career Center in Sumter, SC. Mr. Lawrence served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors are his sons, Ray Lawrence Jr. and his wife Kelly of Sandersville and Steve Lawrence of Wrightsville; and grandchildren, Dustin Lawrence and Rachel L. Falk and her husband Cody.

The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
