Rev. Ray Milton Walls, age 76, of 3999 Highway 102 in Warthen died Sunday morning, December 23, 2012, in the University Hospital in Augusta following a brief illness.
The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday evening. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 27th, at 2:00pm at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Warthen. The Rev. Tim Powell will officiate.
Rev. Walls was a native of Iaeger, West Virginia, the son of the late Emick Ray Walls. He was a retired Baptist Minister having served churches in West Virginia, North Carolina, Virginia, Florida and Georgia. Rev. Walls was a member of the Tennille Baptist Church.
Survivors are: his wife,
Lois K. Walls of Warthen; a son, Timothy Edward Walls and his wife Karen Sue of Warthen; his mother, Mildred E. Walls of Beckley, West Virginia; seven grandchildren, Amber D. Walls, Annie L. Walls, Timothy Ray Walls, Kathryn Walls, James Schirmer, Kaylan Schirmer and Sara Schirmer; three great-grandchildren, Madison Heggs, Jayla Heggs and Bryan Heggs; a sister, M. Nadine Mossner of Frankenmuth, Michigan; his brothers, Roland K. Walls of Beckley, West Virginia, Darold T. Walls of Jamestown, North Dakota, Russell E. Walls of Morganton, NC, Ritchie R. Walls of Mt. Hope, West Virginia, and Lorin H. Walls of Crab Orchard, West Virginia.
