Mrs. Reba Waters Brown, age 93, of Tennille, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022, at Augusta University Medical Center. A graveside service celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Washington Memorial Gardens in Sandersville, GA. Jammy Carrington will officiate.
Mrs. Brown was a native lifelong resident of Washington County. The daughter of the late Charlie Waters and Maude (Caraway) Waters. She was the wife of the late Felton Brown. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Ellis, son-in-law, Tommy West, siblings, Delia Denton, M.C. Waters, I.J. Waters and Mary Lanthrip. Mrs. Brown was a retired employee of Washington Manufacturing Company and a homemaker. She was a true believer in her faith as a Jehovah Witness. She loved her family, flowers, gardening and tending to her chickens and was a huge Braves fan. She loved to sit outside and watch the birds, but most of all she loved going fishing.
Survivors are her children, Faye West, Janie Brantley and her husband Randolph of Sandersville, Franky and his wife Lutrell of Aragon, Georgia, Ricky Ellis and his wife Charlene; daughter-in-law, Gayle Ellis of Tennille; grandchildren, Tracey McCaskill and husband John Dean, Bryan West, Jammy McCoy and his wife Shalena, Joey Ellis, Heather Ellis, Ricky Ellis, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Lynsie McCaskill, Emily Carver and husband Tyler, Easton West, MaKenzie West, Ridge McCoy, Emilee McCoy, Bailey McCoy, Audrey Ellis, J.J. Ellis, Anna Beth Ellis, Parker Ellis, Bailey Craighead, Chase Ellis, Olin Ellis, and Mason Ellis; and great-great grandchild, John Parker Carver.
The family will greet friends and family following the graveside service on Tuesday, in the cemetery.
