Renee Giddens Brett

Renee Giddens Brett, age 40, of East McCarty Street in Sandersville, died Friday, January 10, 2014. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 12th, at 4:00 p.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville. The Reverend Gary Thompson will officiate.

Renee was born in Baldwin County but was a lifelong resident of Washington County. She was a homemaker and formerly worked for the Washington County Chamber of Commerce and later the Georgia Department of Transportation. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sandersville. Renee is predeceased by her mother, Elaine Turner Giddens.

Survivors include her husband, Dan Olin Brett; her father, William T. “Bill” Giddens and his wife Elaine Walker Giddens; her sister, Denise Giddens all of Sandersville; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will be at the residence of Bill and Elaine Giddens on West Church Street in Sandersville and they will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the May and Smith Funeral Home.
