Rhonda Barefield Webb, age 53, of Sandersville, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, after an extended illness.
Rhonda was born and raised in Washington County and attended Washington County public schools. She received a certified medical assistant/office technology diploma from Swainsboro Technical College in 1991. She was formally employed by Lab Corp., Women's Health Care Services, Washington County Regional Medical Center and Washington County Department of Family and Children's Services.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her mother and step father, Betty and Albert Kitchens, her father, Charlie "Pete" Barefield and grandmothers, Lizzie Poole and Vera Barefield Adams.
Survivors include her daughter, Delynn Brantley and her husband Nick of Sandersville; son, Clayton Eric Webb and his wife Maggi of Midland, TX; sisters, Kim Smith and her husband Mike of Sandersville, Vicki Corne of Bethlehem, GA, Emily Barefield of Baton Rouge LA; brothers, Timothy Kitchens and his wife Angela of Columbia, SC and Alex Barefield of Baton Rouge, LA; three grandchildren, Conner Brantley of Sandersville, Caleb Pettit of Midland, TX and Courtlyn Pettit of Statesboro; stepmother, Brenda Barefield Reeves of Baton Rouge; two special aunts, Barbara Votipka and Ann Brindell both of Sandersville; six nieces and seven nephews; fourteen great nieces; and nine great nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 26 from noon until 4:00 P.M. at 411 Ridgeland Drive in Sandersville following a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Washington County Animal Shelter in honor of her beloved cat, Gracie or to the American Red Cross in Rhonda's honor.
